Wait... I have a blog?

OOPS! Where has time gone?? 2012 is practically over! My brain doesn't understand that because for some reason I still think it's 2010... I can't handle it.



December is here! So yes, that absolutely means you can be expecting yet another tacky Viscomi christmas card to be posted up here on the blog! Not just yet though... I want the suspense to drive you absolutely cray cray. :D



So we finally decorated our second Viscomi christmas tree ever (last year we didn't get one because we flew home with the little puglet). And she's a beaut! She's a little lopsided and not as fat as I would want, but all in all, she's a deliciously "Firry" gem. ?

Zack was a little hesitant when I broke out the "Fireplace For Your Home: Classic Edition" on the tv, but once he could hear the logs crackling and the tacky instrumental christmas music playing in the background he warmed right up. ;) ;)

I'm going to go ahead and turn up the cheese factor. Sue me. I can't help it. 

When we first moved to Florida, I met Jared first. He is in seminary with my hubbs. And the Jared-Viscomi connection was instant and beautiful. So much so we practically had a third roommate our first year in Florida. Then, Jared introduced me to this adorable tiny little blond firecracker of a girl. And I instantly loved her. She and I clicked as though we had known each other for decades. Which I always think is supernatural and creepy but I love it just the same. 

This all happened 2 years ago, and just yesterday I am SO thankful and SO blessed to have shot their engagement photos. Yes, they're engaged!!! They got engaged in August and it was one of the sweetest engagements I have ever seen.

And now on to the engagement photos... Which I LOVE. 

My favorite photos are always the ones that aren't posed... Which the next 2 are not :D

Saturday

This past Saturday was awesome. Just plain awesome. Zack and I decided to take a little family daycation (that's my new word for a vacation that is only one day. Like a day trip. But even better, a daycation). We went to Clearwater, (duh where we always go) and the people on the beach next to us had paddle boards. And they were the sweetest people in the world and totally let us try them!!




I have always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always always wanted to try this!

And I liked it so much I'm trying to convince Zack to buy me a paddle board for my half birthday, I mean... July 11th is approaching quickly so....

And as a perfect end to our daycation, we explored the little city of St. Petersburg, which is just gorg. (Yes, that is Miley barking at her own reflection in this photo. Smart.) Happy Tuesday everyone! 

The weeks are long, and the weekends are short, but I know one thing for sure. Sitting on my balcony on a Sunday evening, with the breeze blowing and the sun setting right in front of me, I am really thankful thank God's plan for my life is better than mine.

So we kind of cheated this week because we weren't home all day Sunday to take our weekly growth photo of the pups... We were actually here :) So we decided to spice it up a little bit and have a different background!

Sunrise Sweetness

God is so awesome. Besides being awesome all the time about every little thing, he knows how much nature and the beauty of the world lifts my spirits. Driving to work at the crack of dawn (literally...) I turned a corner in my car and saw his beautiful creation waking up and bursting forth into a beautiful day.

Morning Walks

Now that the weather has been absolutely GORG lately, Mona and I have really enjoyed our morning walks. And by enjoy, I really mean she runs around like a wild chicken with her head cut off and I'm trailing behind yelling at her trying to gain some control. Ohhhh, life with a puppy. So entertaining. But the weather has literally been perf lately. Perf for January 25 especially. Currently:::

Anyway, as we were walking along, I'm glad I had my phone on me, because as the sun was peeking over the buildings in my apartment complex, the colors were just fabulous and vibrant. Absolutely a perfect way to start the day (including the warm pot of hazelnut/french vanilla coffee my husband had brewed for me. What a doll).

AND, for some random advice of the day, I HIGHLY recommend everyone going to see Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. 

Talk about a tear jerker.... But such a good reminder to continue to pray for all those who live their lives today still affected by the terrible disaster of 9/11.

1yearOLD!

Our big baby puppy girl is officially 1!!! Today is her first birthday... So while technically that makes her... 7... I guess??? She is getting so old already...

And yes we have arrived back home! We are in Florida, the weather is fabulous, and we are ready to hit the ground running with 2012!

Mona is too, as a 1 year old, as long as I take get that dang hat off her.

RTS Christmas Party

So I've been playing Christmas music pretty much 24/7 for the last couple weeks. I'm trying to get into the Christmas spirit!!! Usually Christmas music and Christmas lights will do it for me... But this year I just can't seem to grasp that holiday nostalgia! I don't know why... Maybe because this year we're not getting a Christmas tree... (Because we are flying home for the holidays). Or maybe it's because it's been a steady 75 degrees out. Which DON'T GET ME WRONG... I'm loving it. Where else can you lay by the pool in mid December?! It's pretty amaz. Anywayz, RTS had a Christmas party last week and I got to photograph the families that came. Seeing everyone dressed up in wintery garb and singing Christmas carols, I have to admit, it did inch me a little bit closer to the Christmasy mood.











I think once the plane touches down on the Philadelphia airport, and I walk outside and feel the cold crisp wintery air... (After shedding a few frozen tears because my toes will be instantly frostbitten...) I will start to feel my spirit instantly switch into Christmas Cheer. Can't wait to come home!!!!

Busy Busy ViscomBees

Photoshoots, Christmas parties, class finals, Holiday festivities, movies in the Park, dinners, dancing and delirious DOGS! That's what our lives have been filled to the brim with lately! But I did get a few seconds the other day to just snap Mona's little outfit... I guess she's been GTLing a little too much... because she's busting out of this shirt. 

December 1

It's the most wonderful time of the year! I love December and everything that the holiday season brings. The Christmas lights have been hung, the decorations are up, Christmas music is everywhere 24/7... I love. And so does she :) We are fully prepared for the holiday season!! Bring on the HOT CHOCOLATE!

A Bow Tie + Mustache Baby Shower

So my friend Bonnie is expecting.... A boy!! So excited for her and her hubby, it is their first little babes, and Bonnie is the cutest preggo ever. Like, EVER. So my friend Brooks and I decided to throw her a shower....
