Forrealz

I sat the girls down today for a "Forrealz Talk". Meaning, like no BS, let's get down to business. I asked them how they were doing, if they liked going to the dog park, or if they'd rather be walked. Does Miley like the new bacon dog treats as opposed to the chicken. Would they rather sleep with the fan blowing on them, or off them. You know. Those sorts of really interesting things. Then I got to the serious shtuff... I said, Mona, how are you feeling about Miley tripling in size in a few short weeks? Are you feeling sort of left out?




I wasn't expecting what happened next... Mona gave me a death look, then said, "Jeez, thanks for pointing it out. I CLEARLY make up for lack of size in my huge personality. Jerk."

SHEESH. That death look could kill a man...

Week 10

Whew! What???? It's been 10 weeks??? I can't believe it. It feels like we just got her yesterday... But then it's felt like a life time. Oh Miley girl. She's such a sweet babe. She really is. But she is so smart, and so mischievous, and so very much a puppy still... Even though she's tripled in size. No big deal.

Week 9

When we first got Miley she was 10 pounds... And Mona was 12.  Now Miley is weighing in at 26 pounds and has clearly outgrown Mona... Although Mona for some reason hasn't seemed to notice.

She hasn't seemed to notice that Miley's jaw now clearly fits around her entire little baseball sized head. Or that with one paw Miley can send Mona flying across the room. Mona hasn't seemed to notice anything different than the first day we got her. And loves her little (big) sister who is growing by the second, and none of those differences keeps her from instigating tumbles every morning, afternoon and night. Puppy love.. It's beautiful.

Week 6

For those of you who have been religiously following Miley's riveting growth chart, I know you technically know this is week 7. But since we had friends in town for the last week, I didn't sit down at my computer once, but instead enjoyed their amazing company and had a dang blast. It was awesome.


I did, however, happen to take a photo last Sunday, on the actual week 6. And I took a photo yesterday too, which will be posted tomorrow, and that is week 7. So sorry for causing enough confusion that your whole world has been in distress, thinking I forgot about week 6... No worries folks! Here she is!

So we kind of cheated this week because we weren't home all day Sunday to take our weekly growth photo of the pups... We were actually here :) So we decided to spice it up a little bit and have a different background!

1 Month Later...

One official month later... It's not much. But it's definitely getting very noticeable.

Week 4

So after 3 full weeks of Miley being in her new home... It's gotten to the point where I grab my camera, sit in my little spot, and the puppies come bounding over and sit in front of me and pose like little divas. And I love it.

Week 3

If I had known that the key to getting a calmer more obedient pug was to get a dog who was going to keep her entertained for hours upon days... I would have gotten Miley a million years ago. :D

Week 2

As we enter into our second week with Miley, let the growing/filling out begin!! 

Mona likes her little sis... She thinks she tastes yummy.

Welp.... The Viscomis have done it again. We adopted a Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback.... I know. They hunt lions. I know. They get to be like a bajillion pounds. I know. I know. I know. But I also know Zack's dreams have literally come true. So meet our new puppy, Mona's little sister, Miley.

Right now Mona is a couple pounds and a couple inches bigger than her... So it's going to be pretty interesting to watch Miley outgrow Mona in just a few weeks! 

In terms of her temperament, she is basically the exact opposite of Mones. She is calm, mild mannered, and very timid. Since she was an adoption, we're not sure of her history, but she is literally afraid of everything. So we would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we enter this new adventure with our 2 little pups, and get the little lady acclimated to the Viscomi world!
