Home is where YOU are
WOW. wow. WOWWWWW. I am seriously the most blessed person in the whole world. So last Friday I posted that I was leaving 2 days early, in CASE the boys have off during the day on Saturday and Sunday... Welllllllll, as me & Jess were driving down, Zack called with the best news ever. They were going to have off until MONDAY MORNING. Then they had to be back from some of the day on Monday, Tuesday morning til about 9, then OFF until Saturday at 4! This was seriously the greatest news in the world. So instead of just having Tuesday through Saturday, we had an extra 5 days with our boys!! We got there Saturday evening around 7ish (no thanks to 95 and the obnoxious traffic that goes along with it), and left the NEXT Monday morning around 11.
It was seriously blessing after blessing too. Even though it was supposed to rain like every day, it DIDN'T. We got some amazing quality time together on the beach in Morehead City, the Riverwalk in Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, etc. It was great. SO great. This time together was so refreshing and so very much needed. It was so good to see Zack.... Saturday night when I first saw him, it felt like I had never seen him before, and he was the best thing I had ever laid eyes on. I know I sound soooo gay, but I can't even describe the feelings I had. It was probably as close to Heaven as we can get here on this earth.
Right now, having to say a heart wrenching goodbye for the 2nd time in 2 months, I am struggling with discontentment. I just want this whole thing to be over with, and for him to come home & be safe with me in our own little bubble of Jesus, church, dogs, a new house and finally a relationship that doesn't consist of staring at a phone screen. I know that this is all happening for a reason though, God is in control. He loves us so much. He wants the best for us, and this is the best for us right now, who the heck knows why, but it is. Jerry Bridges has this little booklet called "You Can Trust God" and he says this in it...
"God is completely Sovereign. God is infinite in wisdom. God is perfect in love. God, in His LOVE, always wills what is best for us. In His WISDOM, He always knows what is best, and in His SOVEREIGNTY, He has the power to bring it about."
Everyone, I'm going to be really honest. We need your prayers more than ever now. It is so easy to let your feelings control you. I know for me it is. Feelings of sadness, loneliness, discontentment, frustration, ETC. So I know we both appreciate your prayers and support for us in this time. Zack's flight leaves on Sunday. I have his mailing address and any other information you might want so just contact me for it if you'd like.
Oh... also, I posted some pictures of Zack leaving from Red Bank in May, his training at Lejeune and 29 Palms, and then our week together, so feel free to take a looksie.
