Christmas 2012 - Wrapped Up!

Viscomi Family Christmas 2012 in Florida was a success!! Santa and her elf even stopped by and bestowed us with snorts and kisses all over the face. :) Hope your holiday was amazing!

DIY Snow Globes

Who doesn't love a little craft time?? These snow globes are super easy to make! Just throw a little epsom salt in with a tiny tree and you have yourself a wintery wonderland! Which I'm needing nowadays since it's still 80 degrees out....

(OH and the "R" is for Rachel, because it was just her birthday and I wanted to add to her ever growing snow globe collection :) )

OOPS! Where has time gone?? 2012 is practically over! My brain doesn't understand that because for some reason I still think it's 2010... I can't handle it.



December is here! So yes, that absolutely means you can be expecting yet another tacky Viscomi christmas card to be posted up here on the blog! Not just yet though... I want the suspense to drive you absolutely cray cray. :D



So we finally decorated our second Viscomi christmas tree ever (last year we didn't get one because we flew home with the little puglet). And she's a beaut! She's a little lopsided and not as fat as I would want, but all in all, she's a deliciously "Firry" gem. ?

Zack was a little hesitant when I broke out the "Fireplace For Your Home: Classic Edition" on the tv, but once he could hear the logs crackling and the tacky instrumental christmas music playing in the background he warmed right up. ;) ;)

I can't believe we have to wait a-WHOLE-nother year for the 4th of July... It just comes and goes way too quickly. And I need to start prepping early for it next year. So many ideas and so little time!


Zack and I did get to try this recipe I found on Pinterest though. Well... and this recipe too. Because I wanted to eat them both :D And they were both delish!

Happy Fathers Day to all the amazing Fathers out there! I have the best one obviously - sorry every other human being in the world. But it's true. From my Dad I have inherited an awesome sense of humor (where I mostly just laugh at my own jokes), a huge forehead, and an uncontrollable head of hair. But also- thank you for giving me a great perspective on life, and teaching me the importance of inner beauty as opposed to outer. That is pretty priceless.

Happy Mothers Day to all the fabulous mommies out there! I am so blessed to have like 25 different Mom figures in my life. They are all special and I wish I had the super powers to go around and hug each and every one of them on Mothers Day.



So, I haven't been feeling so great lately health wise, but who can turn down a FaceTime chat with the one and only Doyle twinz?? Love you Mom and Aunt Dot, you guys are totally the best moms anyone could ask for!

Mona the Smushed Nosed Reindeer

Well the Christmas season is moving along pretty quickly! Here is an amazing window into the outfit we decided on for Mona and our Christmas card... Except this outfit was one size too big. So after trying this one on her and having her absolutely hate me for it, I went back and got the appropriate size.

While Mona DOES do an amazing job at posing for me, there are a few times in our photo shoot where she needs to take a break, sniff the ground, say a prayer that she doesn't lose it on me....

and then goes back to bulging her eyes and pursing her lips at me. Love the little bugger. 

RTS Christmas Party

So I've been playing Christmas music pretty much 24/7 for the last couple weeks. I'm trying to get into the Christmas spirit!!! Usually Christmas music and Christmas lights will do it for me... But this year I just can't seem to grasp that holiday nostalgia! I don't know why... Maybe because this year we're not getting a Christmas tree... (Because we are flying home for the holidays). Or maybe it's because it's been a steady 75 degrees out. Which DON'T GET ME WRONG... I'm loving it. Where else can you lay by the pool in mid December?! It's pretty amaz. Anywayz, RTS had a Christmas party last week and I got to photograph the families that came. Seeing everyone dressed up in wintery garb and singing Christmas carols, I have to admit, it did inch me a little bit closer to the Christmasy mood.











I think once the plane touches down on the Philadelphia airport, and I walk outside and feel the cold crisp wintery air... (After shedding a few frozen tears because my toes will be instantly frostbitten...) I will start to feel my spirit instantly switch into Christmas Cheer. Can't wait to come home!!!!

My friend Bonnie had her baby!! His name is Bryce Andrew and he was 5 lb and 12 oz when he decided to show the world his handsome little face. Congratulations Bonnie and Jason!

Photoshoots, Christmas parties, class finals, Holiday festivities, movies in the Park, dinners, dancing and delirious DOGS! That's what our lives have been filled to the brim with lately! But I did get a few seconds the other day to just snap Mona's little outfit... I guess she's been GTLing a little too much... because she's busting out of this shirt.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! I love December and everything that the holiday season brings. The Christmas lights have been hung, the decorations are up, Christmas music is everywhere 24/7... I love. And so does she :) We are fully prepared for the holiday season!! Bring on the HOT CHOCOLATE!

Veterans Day - 11.11.11

God bless all of our precious Veterans. Thank you so much for serving our country! We are free today because of you!



As I was explaining to Mona what Veterans Day was all about, she looked at me, with this look. I knew what exactly what it meant. I shook my head, "No way, Mones. You're not allowed to wear it. It's way too big... It wouldn't come close to fitting.. No..." She looked at me again and blinked. "I. Want. It. Now." (That's what the blink said). I rolled my eyes, "Okay FINE, but just this once. Just because today is special."


And whatdoyaknow. She looks just like her Daddy. :) Happy Veterans Day!

A Pugly Dilemma

I sat Mona down this morning and looked her right in those big bulgy eyes, and said, "Look. We have ourselves a dilemma."

Obviously her only response was a slight head tilt, but I knew that tilt meant that she already knew what the dilemma was... We are just on the same page about everything, ya know???


But just for the sake of making conversation, I continued, "For the annual Viscomi Christmas card, I'm going to need to make you look super special, it is your first Christmas after all. But there's a problem, I have like 30 different things I want to do.... I'm going to need to do a trial run on probably every outfit... Let's hope Daddy doesn't kill me." And from the slight wink of her right eye, I knew she was on board.
