What's up all my peeps out there in the America Land?!
SOOOOOO...I have been on 6000 convoys already so I am experienced. That's not true. 3. That's it, just three. They are fun though. So far they have gone with out a hitch. I am the gunner on the lead truck which is awesome because I have a really good view of everything.
We were on our way the other day and an F-18 (fighter jet) flew by my truck. Banked (banked meaning they turn sideways in order to turn) right behind my truck and turned left right next to my truck. It dropped out flares and then circled around the front of my truck did a barrel roll on my right side and disappeared in the sky. I know that is probably hard to picture, but WOAH! It had to be one of the coolest things that I have ever witnessed. Lets see what else can I tell you with out getting in trouble by OPSEC jerks. Uuuuhhhhhhhh.....
Oh so we have helicopter escorts sometimes and they fly pretty close too. (OH yeah. So that F-18 was probably like 2-300 meter away from my truck. It seemed like a LOT closer. I personally think that it was about 100 meters away. That just seems crazy. I dont know if they can actually fly that close. It seemed really big and everything. I dont know. I will, in my mind say that it was 100 meters. If you think that's too close or really crazy that's fine cuz I think its crazy too. I thought it was going to burn me. haha.) Anyway, so the helicopter was close. I could see the gunners face. We had a special bond ya know...cuz we were both .50 cal gunners. I waved but I dont think he waved back. What a fag. We dont like him anymore. I dont know who it was but he's a dork-face.
Sooooo what else. OOOK. there are stray dogs EVERYWHERE..and stray donkeys. Thats weird. I never thought that donkeys would be strayed. haha I dont even know if strayed is a word or if you can use it like that. WHO CAARES. So the other night. I know it was night because I had chem sticks (glow sticks). This stray dog comes running across the road and it looked like it had a leg in its mouth. Not a human leg, that would make this story a lot more interesting I am sure, but it was an animal's leg. I think it was another dog's. Maybe a donkey. I felt bad for the leg. It really didn't stand a chance. Ba-ding. Get it.... stand... ok never mind. I threw a chem stick at the dog who in turn dropped the leg. And then I found five dollars...
I am not really sure there is anything else that interesting. I can't really tell you anything specific. Oh I saw one little kid throw a huge rock (larger than his fist) at another little kid running away and it hit him in the middle of the back. HAHA. That was pretty funny. These kids are so sketchy. They are like little rabid badgers.
Thats pretty much it. Just wanted to keep you updated.
Zack
