"because he loves me"
I read this Psalm and was blown away by the relevance. I showed it to Zack for encouragement.
Psalm 91. Read this chapter word for word. Turn off your music, focus your mind. Meditate on each specific word and it's meaning.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at our right hand, but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you make the Most High your dwelling -- even the Lord, who is my refuge --
then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
"Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

In a little bit more recent news, I'd like to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sister-in-law RACHEL. She turned a big 22 on Thursday, and we had a great day at the beach together with Abe, filled with green tea Banana Boat, Mack & Manko's pizza, ocean waves, and SUNSHINE. Love ya Rach.
OH YEAH. And Father's Day was a huge success. Dad enjoyed his homemade french fries, caesar salad, homemade burgers, and pound cake for dessert. YUM!

"kiss me thru the phone"
I spent the entire day on Saturday with Zack's family. It was great to be around his flesh and blood, and as WEIRD as that sounds, haha, it helps to surround myself with people that remind me of him, and have some of his great qualities. His sister, Rachel, who I am growing rapidly closer with has Zack's laugh, which makes me happy =)
Zack has been taking Gunner courses for the past 2 days, and now they're practicing shooting today and probably for the rest of the week. He's been shooting Mark 19 Grenade Launchers
and 240 Bravo machine guns (Zack is not pictured in these photos).
And I'm sure I don't have to tell you all this, because anyone who knows Zack will know, but he LOVES it.
I read something that is always an extreme comfort and can make my soul rest at ease. I want to share it with you all.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord.
THANK the Lord I have the Big Guy up there watching over me & Zack, and that is what gets me through on a daily basis, without that comfort, I really don't know how I'd get through. I'm excited to see how God is going to bless us through this entire situation. I can already feel how much me & Zack have grown in our relationship with each other, as well as in our relationship with our heavenly Father, just in these 3 weeks! Thanks for caring about us and keeping us in your prayers. We need it!
I'll sign off with the famous words from a well known artist known as Soulja Boy... "boy you know i miss you, i just wanna kiss you, but i can't right now so baby kiss me thru the phone.." :)
