Go Team!

Greetings friends and family of CLB-46! October was our second full month
here, and we really hit our stride. We have driven over 140,000 miles without
an accident. That's an amazing statistic. Our driving safety record is a
testament to leaders of all ranks incorporating safety into mission
accomplishment. During the end of October, our engineers led an effort to
clear a major highway that is the principal artery for Iraqis traveling to
Saudi Arabia for the Hajj (the pilgrimage to Mecca). CLB-46 had nine Marines
complete the final Marine Corps marathon in Iraq, covering a very dusty 26.2
miles. I am very proud of the accomplishments of all of our Marines and
Sailors.
