I have gotten about 8-9 people in the last week asking me about Christmas presents for the ol' man. (Thanks for thinking of him!!) So I asked him (probably about 4-5 times, just to make sure he REALLY thought it over.. he DOES have the tendency to be impulsive with his decisions...), and here was the conclusion:
For Christmas, Zack would absolutely LOVE you to send a check. Haha, yes you read that correctly. A check. Reason is this: He can't really enjoy anything over there because he will either have to leave it over there, or sell it before he comes home, b/c he doesn't have a lot of room to bring back stuff. SO, this is where a check comes in. Instead of getting "gifts" he would absolutely LOOOOVE to go on a nice vacation with his wifey (yours truly) when he gets back. He has actually been planning this vacation probably since last June (a week after he left), and decided that instead of Christmas gifts this year, we were going to plan a nice long vaca for when he gets back. Some good husband & wife bonding time. Soooooounds like a blast, right?? So that's what he wants! We are going to save all our Christmas money and head out to wherever the wind may take us.
If you REALLY would love to send something to Zack though in the spirit of Christmas & giving & carroling & mistletoe, a phone card is ALWAYS second best, and definitely always something that he needs. Even if he gets 20 phone cards in the mail, I guarantee you he will be absolutely thrilled.
