Recovery. That is what this week has been about. When you're sick, even stepping out to get fresh air feels disorienting sometimes. I wouldn't say either of us are 100% yet, but we are approaching it quickly, thank the Lord!

Apparently home (Philadelphia/the Northeast/the Tri-State area) got buckets and buckets of snow dumped on them over the last week. I gotta say... I do love a good snow fall. Coming inside with your heart pumping from shoveling for hours, your lungs filled with cold crisp oxygen, cheeks rosy from the cold, and sitting down on the cozy couch in front of the fire to watch Lost (or whatever movie of choice) for hours and hours while sipping hot chocolate.

The whole world gets quiet when it snows. It's surreal even. BUT. As much as I do love a good snow fall, I love NOT being apart of it just as much. It's been 65-70 degrees and sunny here all week. Going outside without a jacket, instantly having your skin warmed by the kiss of the sun, the endorphins that burst like crazy when you feel the rays hit your face. You can't beat it. I am a sun child, I guess. If only I could pick up Florida weather and just throw it on Philadelphia.....
