It's kind of funny, last year for Christmas someone gave me an ornament that says "Our First Christmas, 2008" (pretty sure it was a family member.....) and it kind of felt like a little knife stabbing me in the heart. Okay, it didn't feel that bad, but it was a little salt to the wound of Zack being in Iraq last Christmas. But this Christmas is different, even though it's our second Christmas being married, it's our first Christmas together, and we are eating it up left and right. Hot chocolate, tinsel, mistletoe, Christmas songs, pointsettias, Elf ears, Christmas movies, ETC! We LOVE it.
We decided to theme our tree blue, because everything else in our living room is blue, so heck, why not stick with the theme. Right?

Oh, and if you're wondering, what in Pete's name is that thing on top? Well.. It's a snow hat. And until we find the appropriate Frosty for the Tree topper, that spot shall remain uninhabited by any official Tree Topper.
After we decorated our awesome tree, we made Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, from scratch.
.. I know... Betty ain't got nothing on the Viscomi's.
So cheers with your hot chocolate! ... Or... Cheers with your marshmallows with a splash of hot chocolate (ahemm.. Zack...)!
