Soooo, it's been like, FOREVER since I've updated my little old blog, the last few weeks have been a blur filled with suitcases, hotel rooms, family visits, sicknesses, Wii games, packing and unpacking, etc! etc! But we have been getting a lot of questions like,"where are you guys and what the heck are you doing???" So here is what is going on in the life of the little old Viscomis.
Zack and I are currently living in Red Bank, NJ, a half a block away from his base. We will be living here probably until the beginning of April, which THEN we will Lord willing be leaving for Italy for our 3 week honeymoon!
NOW:: onto more important things. The reunion :) They told us they were going to arrive at 5:30 at Red Bank. So my fam and I got there around 3:30, knowing full well we'd have to wait a few hours, so we brought some games, and just chilled out and bonded. Well, 5:30 became 6, which became 7, which FINALLY became 8. Honestly I don't even remember what time it was that they actually came, it was all a blur to me.
My dad, mom and sisters made Zack an AWESOME banner for his homecoming::
Waiting was TORRRTTTUUREE. Talk about a nervous breakdown. Ask these girls, (Reilly's girlfriend Amanda, Konopka's fiance Jessss, me, and Gall's fiance Erin) who we met at the Reunion workshop were bundles of nerves as well :)
Jess and I bought oversized balloons JUUUUST in case the boys couldn't find us amongst the crowd :)
Then we got word, they were pulling in!! So we were all outside and we all cheered and screamed and cried as we watched the buses go by. Then we were told to come inside and crowd around the doorway and wait for our Marines to file in. The chaplain prayed a thanksgiving prayer that they were home safe, there honestly wasn't a dry eye in the place at this point.
As the chaplain finished, all the Marines started filing in... and everyone was literally cheering and screaming :) And then this Big Shot strolls in... :)
They were told to stand in formation and just stare at us, no one is really sure why, but stare they did and stare back we did.
FINALLY they were released, and I really don't remember how I got to him, I just remember getting pushed from behind and him grabbing my arm and pulling me close, I may or may not have trampled a 3 year old in the process, but it was worth it :)
Jess & Brian :)
I'm so glad this is all over. I'm so glad that he's home safe, and I'm so thankful that the Lord has blessed our relationship so much through this situation. I wouldn't trade it for the world, but I certainly wouldn't ever choose to do it again!!

I hate that you made me get all mushy and teary eyed. I LOVE that he's home safely and that you guys have been reunited. Much, much love!
